Khepera Kids (Ages)
3-6 year olds (45 Min)
This playful class encourages self-expression as well as building social skills. Children will strengthen their bodies as they learn how to focus through breathing and relaxation techniques. Kids sing and play yoga with yoga postures and breathing in this energy releasing class.
6-9 year olds (45 min)
Improve strength, flexibility, and coordination with this kids yoga class. Students will learn self-respect and respect for others with the practice of fun and challenging poses, a series of yoga games, as well as participation in partner and group poses. Children will also learn how to focus and center themselves with breathing and visualization techniques.
10-12 year olds (1 Hour)
This class will help students build strength and flexibility with more physically challenging postures and flowing sequences. Promote self-confidence, awareness and control, visualization and breathing exercises are used for overall balance and concentration which can be applied toward everyday situations. Partner and group poses are emphasized. Age appropriate yoga games are included in every class.
13-16 year olds (60-75 minutes)
The teenage years are a time when the body experiences rapid physical, mental, and emotional changes. New and busy schedules, life changes and learning about responsible life decisions can confuse and even stress teens out. Yoga offers teens a way to find stability and acceptance in their ever-changing lives. This yoga class will teach postures that build inner and outer strength as well as flexibility. Students will be engaged on both a social and physical level to help learn about dealing with emotions and stress within a community.
